Have had a constant noise in my ears similar to a radiator hissing. While dining in a restaurant the surrounding noise muffles anyone at my table who is speaking. Unless the person talking is eye to eye with me, its very difficult to understand them. Sound can increase suddenly...fortunately I have not let it bother my sleeping. Seems to quiet down at bedtime or when I am relaxing. Apreciate any advice anyone can suggest. Thankyou.

I have nerve damage left ear, which was caused by clot blocking blood to nerves, and thus have tinnitus since then constantly. I lost hearing in that ear, but the t. never goes away, but I don't notice it now until something brings it up, like reading this blog.
