Anthony, I feel that you touched on a very important topic there! It's true, really, that men are taught to suppress their feelings, or at least to not show them.

But showing your feelings really isn't a sign of weakness- it's a sign of strength.

Thanks for your comment :-)

@Justin: I don't believe men are less emotional than women (I mean feel them less), but I do believe society trains us to surpress our emotions because not showing them is generally regarded as "manly".

In other words, we are educated to adapt to a stereotypical vision of men (think Action Man or James Bond) because otherwise we face rejection by other men AND women who have embraced that vision (i.e. the rest of society. no one wants to be ostracized by all of society...)

Men are much more emotional than society gives them credit for. We just "bottle" our emotions. And because we are trained to bottle them we have trouble dealing with them. Hence the difficulty many males face everyday with emotions.

You can blame consumerism and hollywood movies lol.

Just my two cents here. Cheers!

Hello James!

Thanks - I also appreciate that you make it "public" :-)

This will be the first place I write this, so if you follow the link in one of the following days, you'll be one of the very first members.

I have started the discussion forum as I said I would, and it can be found here:

http://www.justkeepthechange.com/discuss/

Hop on over and check it out. There's not much yet, but feel free to sign up (I might close registrations soon, I want it to be more "intimate" than most big forums).

There you would have the chance to do just what you say, James. It's actually a pretty good idea!

Hey Alex,

Congratulations on taking on this challenge! I was going to e-mail you with this request, but I figured I'd put it up here for everyone to read. Is there any way we can create something for guys who are looking to improve with women, so that they can connect with others in their area looking to do the same? This way we all learn from each other face to face. I reside in Rhode Island so if anyone would like to get in touch shoot me a mail at ceozapata2 ['at'] gmail.com

Justin,

Nicely put man. I think that you are right - we men have a harder time dealing with the emotions when they 'suddenly' pop up.

Take care!

That is great you're going to focus on getting over ex's. Guys fall so much
harder than women. We are not as emotional, therefore we do not know how to deal with emotions as well as women. Keep up the good work!

Adam, yes it really is. I get a lot of emails, so it's kind time-consuming... But it's time I like to spend! So no worries :-)

Henry, you should look forward to the ebook... it's going to be great and very helpful! Stay tuned...

Thanks for the encouraging words, guys!

I think it's great that you've challenged yourself with these plans that will ultimately help make things better for others. That's very generous of you to give of yourself and your time for this. I'm definitely looking forward to the ebook, your posts and that of your guests'.

That sounds great, massive responsibility to take on though, especially answering all emails personally. I expect everyone is as grateful as I am for the advice though. I'm amazed you'd do that much, can't see what you'd get from it other than the satisfaction of helping, though if that is all it is, then that's a cery good thing.

Keep up the good work
