Let me say hello
« on: March 14, 2009, 07:58:03 PM »
Hello my name is Anthony and I am a 25year old from England. I found this brilliant website when I googled "how to get over the ex girlfriend." I found a post of many men like myself, who were going out of their minds as there ex head left or had got with someone else. It made me feel good as I am normal after all!!! My ex got with somebody straight after the split and it has turned me upside down and my confidence has been shattered. I used to be so confident with women but something within me is lost....I am even unsure about my career path and am second guessing my desire to travel (it comes part and parcel with the low confidience levels).

Aaaanyway I am determined to make things right, get some good advice-and hopefully when I find what I am looking for and feel better about myself I will be able to help others on my way :)

Come say hello, thanks for reading.

The more you suffer, the more it shows you really care. But you don't have to suffer to show you care, right? Glad to have you with us Anthony.

By the way, is travelling part of your career or is it what you do (or would like to) for leisure?

Hi Scott, yeah of course I care-I just don't want to anymore. I am no longer in denial and have accepted she's with someone else and not coming back, so my main goal is to move on. I want to make myself happy before I find another girl- I want to work on me!

My career is working with paralysis but I am applying for the fire service, travelling is a desire I have always had. I am getting no younger and would love to help out in orphanges in Africa, climb Kili before rocking over to Australia to see the sights.

Why are you here mate?

Hi, its nice to see another english guy on the forum. It sounds like youre going the right way about things, which is the practical way, i always think that falling into love is very much an emotional, unpredictable thing, but getting back out of it after a break up is very logical and practical.

And you need to get out to africa to work in orphanages, i worked with a team for 3 weeks in the slums of kampala in uganda to renovate an old building into an orphanage, most amazing thing i have ever done.

Why are you here mate?

Same reason you are, of course. I went through some emotional turmoil as a result of a breakup a couple years ago. When the ex decided it would be a good idea to contact me again, I nearly lost it. Went searching for help online and came here. Now that I consider myself (for the most part) "cured" I like to spend my time helping others get back on their feet.  :) Plus, it's really nice to be able to come here and rant, rave, and ask for advice when I need it as well.
