Why do I lose interest?

This seems to happen a fair amount, and I want to sort it out, so any advice would be great.

This is the general scenario; I meet a girl, think she's great and decide to see if we could hit it off together. However, as soon as it gets to the point where I feel like its easy from then on (I'm talking about progression over a period of time like weeks here by the way) like when she starts to pursue me rather than the other way round, she wants to arrange dates for example, I just lose interest completely. Sometimes I even find them less attractive, its crazy.

I understand that maybe I just like the chase, but surely its not right that this happens? It's not all the time, but sometimes.

Has anyone else experienced this? Or is it just that I love a challenge and get bored when it stops being one?

Oh and if this is just so weird it shouldn't ever be told again, let me know  :)

I'm far from an expert, but it seems to me like you just haven't yet found the perfect girl. I wouldn't say that you only like the chase, rather than the rewards, since you said it doesn't always happen, so try not to worry about that. You just need a girl who is going to keep you as high on your own toes as you keep her on hers.

As for being weird or not, that's up for yourself to decide, Mr. Heartbreaker.  :P

That could be it, you know.

I think in future I'm just going to try to get the other side of girls, the side they don't show to everyone. I believe that everyone is interesting, funny and amazing inside, and its just a matter of getting into that.

Adam, maybe you just need to be a bit more picky about who you want to "hit it off" with.

Try this: make a list, right now, with let's say 5 qualities the girl absolutely must have. Then write down 5 qualities that the girl absolutely must not have. It's quite simple, really. Of course, you would only go for the girls who possess the qualities you're after.

(One the other hand, when you find someone who doesn't possess all those qualities and maybe has a few (or a lot) of quirks, but you still think she's cute as hell... Well. That's a real keeper, son.)
