It's time to get started!
« on: January 26, 2009, 08:47:46 PM »
Hey guys,

I decided to start practicing all the materials I've studied until now.  So far I have been talking to girls here and there, but I haven't set any definite goals.  From now on I'm going to make it a goal to talk to at least 2 new girls ;) every day and use the material.  I want to be able to walk up to any woman, start a conversation and spark interest.  As soon as I get going I will be posting my encounters on here and hopefully get some good feedback.  Any advice before I get started ???

Hey Emilliano!

That's fantastic - a man of action. I like it :)

I think the only thing you need to really succeed is to keep doing it. Two women a day is great, especially for a start, so don't stop. At least keep it up untill summer.

Also, what kind of "material" will you use?

If it's scary at first, simply ask for the time or for directions. From there you can transition into some random conversation, or simply move on.

One thing that's important is that you don't push yourself too hard. Do it in your own tempo, but don't stop improving, either. Slow is the way to go, both literally and figuratively ;)

As I said before, I'll say it again: the most important thing for improvement is consistency. Just give it some time, and don't be knocked out by small mistakes. Learn from your mistakes, and take pride in the fact that you're conqueering (or at least befriending) your fear.

I look forward to seeing your progress, it seems like you're a good guy with good intentions, so all the best of luck from here!

My best advice which is also very much Alex's advice: be honest. No bullshit. Never.

Good luck 8)

That sounds good, I've set myself similar goals in the past and one thing I've learnt is not to force yourself into approaching. Now I know this sounds contradictory but, what I mean by it is that you've got to encourage yourself, really try and approach women, but if it just isn't right or you don't have the opportunity then don't beat yourself up about it.

If you force yourself into approaching someone when you really don't feel like it, then you start out in a bad mindset and this can actually be damaging because you convey these negative emotions to the woman. This could make the conversation go badly and dent your confidence.

Yeah so that's it really, I found it a good way to break down my internal barriers a bit, but now I tend to only approach when the opportunity is there.

Hope everyone is good.

Welher, that's actually some pretty good advice.

If you're trying to approach while feeling sluggish, your approach will most likely suck.

On the other hand, what you want to work on is that you don't feel sluggish- ever! Or at least not in the daytime in the surroundings of women.

The most authentic approaches are those where the opportunity really is there.

You know, some says that luck = opportunity + preparation, and I agree to that. So keep an eye out for those opportunities, and be sure to be ready when they come!

I agree with Alex here, looking and feeling fresh and happy is a good sign of health, and that in itself is attractive to women.

So just don't ever try and force something, because it could make it sound contrived and you won't be relaxed.

Good luck with what you're doing though, be sure to keep us updated on what you've done.
