THIS IS JUST A VENT. NO NEED TO COMMENT. JUST NEED TO GET IT OUT.
Yeah, if I had a car of my own, at the moment, life would be so much easier? Wouldn't you agree?
Well, I do have a car. But, it has had a problem for a while. Some High Rev. thing from the inspection. Well, at the time I got the inspection, I didn't have the time to fix the problem. So, I drove home, and waited till I had the money.
Time came I had money, cars inspection was expired. Oh well, shop is not too far. Maybe I can make it without getting pulled over. As I am leaving my house, the car stops. Transmission won't work. Engine revs up, but nothing is moving.
So, I get out, and push my car back to my house, up the driveway and into the garage; where it has sat for the past year. Now you're probably wondering, "why haven't you fixed it in this time?!" Well, I kinda need a trailer to pull my car.
My dad said he would rent me a trailer (because he feels that he could have done much better for me when buying me my first car (which I contributed to as well).) So, I wait on him to rent a trailer. Hasn't happened. I say fuck it, I'll pay for it. Heres the cash, just go get it. Still hasn't happened.
So now, I am prepared to just walk up to the Uhaul place and pull the trailer all the way home, on my own.
What I have been doing for the past year is driving my dads truck, until he got a job. And for this summer, I've been driving my grandmothers car, since she moved into our house.
My dad had no problem with what I did with the truck. As long as I never got arrested. Easy enough.
My grandmother had some conditions. She said she didn't mind what I did. As long as I was using it to go to work and school, I could use it on the weekends to go do whatever I wanted, like hang out with friends or go to the mall and such.
Well every time I go out to hang out with friends or go to the mall, I be sure to give her a heads up. I want to make sure she is fine with me going out, and using her car. I make sure to put in gas after each trip. Heck, I put back in more than what I used. As well as checking the oil, and other fluids.
Now today... I called into work. I've been working every day for the past 2 weeks that they could possibly put me in. Which is, every day. Sunday, monday, tuesday, wednesday, thursday, saturday and sunday again. I've never worked a friday, which is weird. I called in today because I really just didn't want to have to deal with Flamingo's or anyone elses bullshit. I can be completely honest, God as my witness, that I am one of the hardest working people there. And I never complain about any task givin to me. But it seems that I am running around with a target on my ass, telling people to complain at me.
Well, I told my grandmother what I did, and asked if I could use her car to go to the mall. She said it's fine. No complaints at all.
I came back home about an hour ago, and found a note on my wall, written by my grandmother. It said that I have lied to her twice about what I've used the car for this week. Which is not true. And that I have not been using the car for what we agreed upon; going to work and school. Well, considering I'm not taking classes at the moment, she is right about the not going to school thing. But I have been going to work every day. I don't have time to go anywhere else. Nothing is near enough to be in a safe zone to get to work on time. Plus I work 10 hour shifts.
I've had the money to get my car fixed every month. I've got it right now. And when my dad talks to me about what happened today, I'm gonna tell him that I need him to keep his word, and use the money I gave him to go get that trailer, and attach it to his truck.
I'm actually embarrassed that I don't have my own car. I'm 19, and I have to drive to school. It's a good 30 minute drive. Definitely not within' walking distance.
Oh, and yes I have thought of calling a tow truck, but there are a lot of scammers here. They will take advantage of you whenever possible. Like when I got my state inspection for my car. It's supposed to be like... $25. They charged me $45!

I actually stared at my car and thought... "I could push it all the way to the shop. It would suck yes... But I could do it."

Oh I fixed it. I've had it for about a week now. Cost me a fortune. There was a lot more problems than I thought. As I got deeper and deeper into fixing it, I would find something else that was just wrong. So I would go to Autozone, spend another hundred dollars at a time.
Learned that two of my tires were about to blow out. Got two tires for another hundred. (I have a small coupe).
In the end, I think I spent 1.5 grand before the inspection and registration, which was another $120.
But now it's on the road and I am very happy. Now I have money I can spend on myself, because my car and college books are paid off. I'm gonna budget for this 37" flatscreen tv I saw at Best Buy. Put a hundred away today. Another hundred this coming friday, and so on till I have the 500 I need.
